Meet your guide
Wandering the Sonoran, one bare mile at a time
I grew up chasing monsoon storms across the valley and learned early that the desert rewards patience โ the saguaros don't hurry, and neither do I anymore. Most weekends you'll find me somewhere between a wash and a ridgeline, tracing old cattle trails through palo verde and ironwood, usually with more sunscreen than sense.
This little corner of the internet is where I keep notes from the trail: which washes run after a good rain, where the ocotillo lights up red in spring, and the slow lessons a body learns from walking unhurried and unencumbered through open country. Come along.
A field guide, of sorts
Sonoran Trail Companions
The regulars you'll pass on almost every route out here โ sketched from memory, in the order you tend to meet them from the trailhead up into the rocks.
